Kim started attending classes at NLXF in 2011 in Cedar Falls. Here’s a bit more about Kim and the program:
Q: How did you become involved with NLXF?
A: I became involved with NLXF in 2011 during session 3 in Cedar Falls. I had heard about the program being advertised on the radio. I previously was a member at a different gym that offered kickboxing and strength training but I was extremely bored with the same work out routine. I talked two of my friends into trying out session 3 with me and I have never looked back. When I signed up for NLXF, I didn’t know a single person in class besides the two friends that came with me! 5 years and 2 children later, I am in the best shape of my life. Not to mention, my husband and I have formed many relationships with amazing people through this program that continue to grow outside of the gym. Needless to say, I absolutely love NLXF!!
Q: What excites you most about being a part of the NLXF training team?
A: Who doesn’t want to go to work every day and see all of their friends?!?! In all seriousness, I have always had a passion for helping people, teaching, and fitness. This will give me the opportunity to take the impact that NLXF has had on my life and share it with others. I can’t wait to strengthen and build relationships with the NLXF family in North Liberty and the surrounding communities!
Q: What makes NLXF different in your eyes?
A: It’s simple. I believe what sets NLXF apart is that every location builds personal relationships in a team oriented atmosphere where you have the challenge of bettering your self every day. It starts with the diverse workouts, high energy, and the team support from everyone in the program. The leadership of the trainers and culture of the program will keep this the top fitness program in every community NLXF is a part of. The trainers and others in class truly care about you and want you to succeed and reach your goals. The trainers and members combined bring an energy to the room that fuels every person in class to take the next steps in their fitness journeys.
Q: What are some goals you have as a NLXF trainer?
A: To lead by example, creating a positive atmosphere, where I can inspire and challenge as many people possible to have the determination to be a better version of themselves.
Q: Lastly, if you give a client who is on the fence one piece of advice about why NLXF is the right program for them, what would it be?
A: I absolutely love NLXF and anyone who knows me knows that I have bragged this program up for the past 5 years. Again, NLXF really stands by their motto of “no excuses!” We offer multiple class times a day, free daycare, showers, very clean work out facilities, modifications for exercises, and the variety of work outs continues to keep clients coming back year after year. You will find that no other gym cares about their clients as much as NLXF does. I was a full time teacher and added two children to our family over my time participating in NLXF Cedar Falls. Those could have been my “excuses” for being too busy to sign up for class. But for me, I found that NLXF is the hour in my day where I get to completely focus on myself and now I get to help others focus on themselves! I got up for 5 a.m. class daily not because I had to, but because I couldn’t wait to!! I walked out of that room every day feeling challenged and motivated to dominate the day. I want to help you do the same!!
